"Tammy Latchford’s unique qualities are a true asset to CGH. She is a hidden treasure whose qualities exemplify the iCare values, support the vision and live the mission of CGH Medical Center. First and foremost, she is a nurse. She uses her nursing experience to identify barriers of change early on and works closely with multiple clinical areas to find the best solutions while optimizing savings opportunities and focusing on quality and safe practices. Secondly, but certainly not less noteworthy are her personal merits of determination, commitment and structure. Tammy is a true patient advocate. Over the years she has built positive respectful relationships with employees, physicians and vendors. She has negotiated terms and savings that many times are behind the scenes but are substantial while maintaining the same strong ongoing relationships that promote future savings. She has touched every department in the hospital in some way or another, whether it is through contracts, patient care supplies, price negotiations or research. Tammy is a wealth of knowledge with an extraordinary amount of experience, honesty and loyalty which is camouflaged by her humbleness. It’s not just one thing she does, it’s an everyday attitude that makes a difference."
