CGH Recognizes Sunshine Award Winner Martin Marrandino

Martin Marrandino, a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Critical Care Unit, was recently recognized as a recipient of the Sunshine Award Winner for extraordinary service. The Sunshine Award was created to honor and recognize outstanding service and compassionate care by those in non-nursing roles, such as CNAs, CMTs or MAs. Martin was nominated by a coworker for the compassionate care he provides.
“Through my time of working with Martin, I have witnessed care and compassion given in the greatest ways. Martin never complains about the work he has to do, even when shorthanded. He always finds a way to give enough time to adequately care for his patients, but ensures he gets to the next one on time. Martin is always ready to lend a helping hand to others and has a positive outlook. This not only helps enhance the mood of the staff, but for the patients as well. I have heard multiple compliments from patients about how Martin is thorough in his care and comforting in a way to make them feel at home.”
