CGH Medical Center NEW Emergency Department Now Open

The new CGH Emergency Department is now open! In the event of an emergency, the public is encouraged to use the new Emergency entrance located off of 2nd Avenue.
The Illinois Department of Public Health has approved the expansion and renovation of CGH Medical Center’s Emergency Department. Patients will be seen in the newly completed Emergency Department starting Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
The 22,500 square foot department will feature 26 private treatment rooms, 2 trauma rooms containing 2 to 3 additional beds, six patient Easy Care (EC) bays, three triage rooms, as well as a streamlined patient registration and triage process.
"We are committed to meeting our expanding patient needs," added Cindy Zander, CGH Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. "The newly designed ED will better serve our communities long into the future."
