Sterling, IL (April 24, 2023) CGH Medical Center is helping future healthcare workers train within their field. Allied Health students have an opportunity to earn their phlebotomy certificate during their second semester at Whiteside Area Career Center (WACC). CGH partners with WACC by allowing students to work alongside the hospital staff to complete a portion of the clinical requirements.

In addition to the ongoing program of students doing their rotations at CGH, the Laboratory department recently donated two Phlebotomy carts to the Whiteside Area Career Center. This donation saved the school around $3,000.
