Several employees at the CGH Lynn Boulevard Medical Center (3010 E. Lynn Blvd, Sterling) have tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, and to ensure employee and patient safety, this location will be closed through Tuesday, September 8 for deep cleaning and sanitizing.
At this point, the positive results were all based on activities outside of work, and the employees were not exposed during patient care. We have reminded all employees of the importance of masking, social distancing, staying home when feeling ill and hand washing, both at work and when participating in activities outside of work.
We believe that patients recently seen at CGH Lynn Blvd are not at an increased risk for contracting the virus, as our staff and patients continue to follow our strict guidelines and recommended protocols for safety during appointments.
This closure includes the health care provider offices of Dr. Marcia Jones, Dr. Afrem Malki, Dr. Jason Reter, and family nurse practitioners Cassie Wiersema and Kimberly Wolfe. This also includes CGH Home Nursing and the CGH Cardiac Rehab Department. All patients will be contacted with instructions to reschedule their appointments. We apologize for any inconvenience and are committed to providing the safest environment for our patients and staff.
