CGH Issues Stricter Visitor Policy for COVID-19
Contact: Dana McCoy
Due to the recent increase of COVID-19 cases in our area, CGH Medical Center has issued a revised visitor policy for the health and safety of our patients, staff and providers.
Effective Monday, October 26, NO visitors will be allowed in the hospital. (Some exemptions will be made for children admitted to the hospital, the Birthing Center, outpatient testing patients that need assistance, or end-of-life situations. In these situations, one designated support person may be allowed. They must be age 18 or older, and be either immediate family members, powers of attorney, guardians or patient representatives).
The CGH Main Clinic and all outlying clinics request that patients attend appointments alone if possible; if needed, only one designated support person will be allowed.
As always, all support persons must comply with the screening and temperature check at the facility entrance and must wear a personal face covering (mask that covers nose and mouth) during the entire visit or he/she will be asked to leave.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. CGH remains a safe place for patients. Along with noting these Visitor Policy changes, please do not neglect your other health needs. Remember that we are all in this together! Continue to protect yourself and others by washing your hands frequently, wearing a mask and maintaining social distance.
