CGH Health Foundation announces scholarship winners

STERLING, IL (May 15, 2019) - Ten individuals have been named recipients of the 2019 CGH Health Foundation nursing and healthcare scholarships. Nearly $21,000 will be funded.
Those selected include:
• Taylor Colville, Sterling, seeking Associate Degree in Nursing at Highland Community College - $3,000 Blue Sky Healthcare Education Scholarship
• Aubrie Kindle, Sterling, seeking Associate Degree in Nursing at Sauk Valley Community College - $1,000 Edgar and Florence Hall Nursing Scholarship
• Holly Hilty, Sterling, seeking Associate Degree in Nursing at Sauk Valley Community College - $1,658 Dr. Carmelo and Dr. Flora Interone Healthcare Scholarship
• Kiana Aude, Chadwick, seeking Associates in Applied Science in Radiology Technology at Sauk Valley Community College - $500 Dr. Carmelo and Dr. Flora Interone Healthcare Scholarship
• Calya Crane, Tampico, seeking Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St. Ambrose University - $3,000 Althea Larson Nursing Scholarship
• Emily Shearer, Franklin Grove, seeking Associate Degree in Nursing at Sauk Valley Community College - $3,000 Althea Larson Nursing Scholarship
• Alexis Appleman, Sterling, seeking Associate Degree in Nursing at Rasmussen College - $1,000 Marrietta Lilly Healthcare Scholarship
• Amy Marcinkiewicz, Tampico, seeking Associate Degree in Nursing at Sauk Valley Community College - $1,500 Ron Smeltzer Nursing Scholarship
• Morgan Pope, Rock Falls, seeking Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences - $3,000 Sterling Rock Falls Community Trust Healthcare Scholarship
• Allison Shank, Sterling, seeking Associates in Applied Science in Radiology Technology at Sauk Valley Community College - $3,000 Sterling Rock Falls Community Trust Healthcare Scholarship
To be eligible for a Foundation scholarship, students must have already been accepted into their professional field of study. On-line programs are funded in addition to traditional courses at a campus.
There are two more scholarships available, with a deadline of Friday, June 28. They include the $2,000 Ed Andersen Healthcare Scholarship and the $1,000 Dr. Ralph and Katherine Redmond Nursing Scholarship.
