CGH Auxiliary 75th Anniversary Celebration, May 12

Sterling, IL (April 11, 2022) – In 1946, Mrs. Hellen M. Lawrence met with about 25 women in her home to discuss the shortage of nurses caused by World War II. Together, they had a vision to contribute to the community and serve the Sterling Public Hospital. This marked the start of the CGH Auxiliary.
The CGH Medical Center Auxiliary celebrated their 75th year in November of 2021. A celebratory event, “Friends of the Auxiliary,” will be held at the McCormick Event Center in Rock Falls on Thursday, May 12, 2022. The event is from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm and will include delicious food, desserts, musical entertainment and memorabilia. All attendees will receive two complimentary drinks.
