Show your support for dementia and breast cancer patients by donating to the CGH Health Foundation Delicious Designs online event Oct. 20 to Oct. 25.
The ninth annual CGH Health Foundation Delicious Designs fundraising event will remain virtual this year and is under the leadership of Co-Chairs Lindsey Pistole, VP pf Retail at Sauk Valley Bank, Gina Grennan, CGH Director of Diagnostic Imaging, and Kayla Brown, funeral director at McDonald Funeral Home.
Bidding on the virtual Silent Auction items will run from 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25. Gift baskets, experiences, services, desserts, gift cards, and Wish List items (Wish List Form links below) for our patients will be auctioned. Donations of baskets and gift cards are being sought Please also consider sponsoring a $240 virtual table or purchasing a $300 homemade and scrumptious dessert.

Create a Virtual Purple or Pink Ribbon Tribute in memory of or in honor of a loved one who has been impacted by dementia or breast cancer. To create your ribbon, go to www.cghmc.com/tributes

Since the event’s inception, the focus has been on raising funds for the CGH Women’s Health Program. “New this year, we’ll be raising funds to assist the hundreds of area individuals and families who are impacted by dementia," said Lindsey. “We are creating a dementia navigator position to serve as that point person who will guide our patients upon diagnosis in determining next steps and in finding resources."
The Foundation partners with the hospital in providing screening mammograms with no out-of-pocket costs to area women. Diagnostic tests, breast biopsies, ultrasounds and MRIs are also partially covered. Comfort bags for breast cancer patients and meals for CGH Medical Center chemotherapy patients are funded as well.
The Delicious Designs Virtual Silent Auction will go live on Oct. 19 for review of the baskets, but bidding starts 7 a.m. Oct. 20.
