Why Katie Was Chosen CGH Employee of the Month
Many of the employees at CGH Medical Center only know Katie Lawson as the voice on the end of the phone from the Nutrition Service Department’s diet office, but those who have had the privilege of working closely with Katie know her as the heart and soul of Dietary! Each time she answers your phone call, she does so in a courteous, caring manner. The caller would never know that Katie is concurrently working on menus, communicating to her co-workers, completing paperwork for the constantly changing diet orders and keeping the dietician staff informed of all changes. Katie manages all of these tasks gracefully starting at 5:30 a.m. every day without a complaint ever. She is knowledgeable of each diet’s detail and her memory of the patient’s preferences is amazing. She is kind, patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and hard-working and truly exemplifies CGH Medical Center’s customer service and AIDET initiatives.
