For the "Rest" of Your Life.
Are you having trouble sleeping at night? Do you find yourself "nodding off" during work, or having trouble falling asleep at bedtime? Maybe your spouse experiences the same problems or suffers because of your sleeping problems.
If this sounds familiar, you could be one of nearly one million people in Illinois with untreated, undiagnosed sleep disorders that make it hard for you to sleep soundly at night - or stay awake during the day.
CGH Medical Center established the Sleep Center to help people overcome these sleep disorders. Visit our Sleep Disorders page here. Listen to our Radio Spot Here.
The normal sleep cycle lasts about 90 minutes and is repeated four to six times a night. The cycle includes two very different kinds of sleep. When someone has a sleep disorder, the normal sleeping pattern is disturbed. But treatment is available to help restore restful sleep.
The CGH Sleep is an open lab. That means any area physician may schedule a patient through CGH's Central Scheduling Department: (815) 625-0400, ext. 5550, or may refer the patient to the CGH Sleep Clinic at (815) 625-4790, ext. 3301.
Dr. David Bruce, Dr. Martina Vendrame and Dr. Kim Treviranus have been specially trained in sleep disorders.
